maxtrac remote head cable

just a quick question.
i have two maxtrac remote head mounting kits but no cable.
what kind of cable do they use and where can one find it.

If your using the old Quickmount remote kit. It uses a standard 25 pin RS-232 computer cable.

it appears to use some sort of ribbon cable. def not a rs-232 connector.
is this a standard ribbon from a computer?
any help is appreciated. thanks paul

Thats the not too common motorola remote kit. I don't have a part # readily available, but it was still available as of a year ago. Surprised me...

Scratch that, its a 3080681b01 30 conductor ribbon cable was $48 last year.

thanks for that info.
i am deciding whether to use the remote kits or sell them.

i did need the info on the cable and the price of a new one is more than i gave for the radio..lol
just call me dos impaired.... lol

If you could find the ends, you could probably make one, it was nothing fancy. Ide cables I think are 40 cond. Maybe a fdd cable would have the ends? They are not as wide as an ide cable.

The Motorola version had the 30 pin flat ribon cable that is pin for pin.
