Motorola Saber I Speaker Mic Problem??

Hi
I have a Saber I Secure radio.
The radio works perfect except when I installed a speaker Mic I cannot get any transmit oudio.
The radio transmits but no audio is heard.
Recieve audio is fine with the speaker mic
I tried two different mics.
I removed the radio from the case and checked the universal connector on the back of the case with a multimeter
I checked the contacts on the bottom of the radio
Is there something I am overlooking in the RSS or something else I can check/replace?
If anybody has information on this I would be very grateful
