DOH! Buggared the code plug on my HT600

Post by ve7khz »

Hi guys,

Just made a boo boo which I can't seem to fix and need some help please. I have 4 radios HT600's I am programming all the same, and after programming one, removed it to test, got a phone call, put the wrong radio back on the programmer, made the changes and programmed it with another radios code plug. Now when I turn it on, I get a continuous tone. Tried all the recommended code plus clearing tricks on the MT1000/HT600 section but still can't get it to work.

Your thoughts?

Thanks

Paul

I have done the exact same thing, with the same results. Any archived copy of the old code?

Hi Bill,

Nope. Didn't expect to be making these "senior moments" mistakes so didn't back up any of the radios.

Any other thoughts?

Cheers

Just some thoughts........its been a while you might if you know it reset the bandwith or reselect the band width ......this may clear out the problem you are having.

Thanks. Tried that. Also removed the 2 white VCO plugs, shorted the pin to ground in the procedure described on this site. Still no go.

Thanks guys. Found the problem. Out of 6 radios that came from the same agency, with the same model number etc. this one was the 157-174 split, the others were 146-162. Weird. Found it in the "notes" area in the data in one of the first screens in the RSS. I think it is the "user data" name of the radio section, it was listed as a different split.

Anyway, changed the split in RSS back to what it should be and all is fine.

Thanks again.
