/\/\ 700-800MHz 1/4 wave whip now available

I was browsing through MOL early last week and came across the NAF5084A.
It is under the XTS5000 antenna series and checked through parts that it is a true dual band for the xts5K and 2500.

how does it differ from the regular stubby? (we are talking about the little one we use on the PSM's)? Shorter or longer?
Some of our XTS2500's came with 5/8 whips labeled 800MHz, some are 700/800...maybe my eyes are going bad but other than the labeling they look identical to me. (We got the 2500's in late 2006, and our system is purely 800MHz).

It is about the same size as the 800/900 PSM antenna that has been in service for years.

I have some of the 1/2 wave whip 700-800 antennas and have no complaints with them at all.

We don't use the stubby antennas on anything but the PSM's, they don't work as well as the 5/8 wave whips. I wonder if they will make an elevated feed dipole for 700/800? I would not mind having one on my radio, I work deep within a building and even though the prime site is only about 6 nautical miles away, local RFI and building construction makes getting in and out a challenge. Everywhere else in our facility, coverage on the system is okay (our security and agency has several talkgroups on the system) but there are some dead areas (like where I spend most of my time!).

Before we were on the old Smartnet analog system (and still have talkgroups on there though the system is only 7 channels now), I used a dipole on my MTS2000 and it made a huge difference in performance. It also doubled as a back scratching device.
