anyone know if Kenwood TK-863G will go down to ham frq.

I have not tried an 863 below 450, but the hardware is the same as the TK860G. I have not run into a problem yet with an TK860G in the ham band.

In short, yes.

We have several receiving on 441 MHz and transmitting on 446 MHz range without any problems.

Well, the question's been answered, and is not Motorola releated, so a locking I will go...
