CDM Rear Assc VOX capable?

Post by a_j_b »

When you program a CDM1550LS+, 6AN radio to key up using VOX, does that apply to the rear connector too or just the mic jack?

As you haven't got any replies to your question, maybe you might try to clear it up some. I have been trying to
figure out if your looking for the CDM to provide a signal line to indicate that there is a received signal present.
Most people call this a COR (carrier operated relay) type signal. Then on the other hand, most people consider the
term VOX to mean a "voice operated keying" or relay closure to key a transmitter.

You can obtain a PTT control line at pin 3 of the accessory connector by setting the radio software accessory
pin configuration "PTT Audio Source" to "EXT Mic PTT".

Not sure just what your looking for with your question. Maybe by stating it a little different you might get some
feedback.

I believe VOX will be a function of the microphone you use and not the radio.

You have to set your personality for VOX under the options tab I believe, and set your hot mic source to accessory connector under radio configuration.....
