MTS2000 Scan TX Tone

Post by gmilhouse »

Hi everyone!

I have a MTS2000 which I am trying to program with scan lists. I have set up the list by enabling the option in each personality and then have compiled the list under the 'scan list' tab in the software. The radio appears to scan (the funny z lightning bolt shows up) but when I hit the PTT, the radio emits a deep beep for a second or so before transmitting. If I drop the PTT then rekey quickly it will transmit straight away.

I have tried heaps of different settings to try and get rid of the annoying tone but to no avail.

My settings are:
MTS2000 model 2 (Uhf 403-470 Mhz)
H01RDF9PW1BN
209108-104600-2 (FLASHCODE)

CPS R01.10
Voting scan enabled (as I want to vote the scanned channels)
Scan type conventional
Priority assignment disabled
Non priority members fixed
designated TX member - ch 1 (which is in the scan list)

The programmed channels TX fine when not scanning and do not make a beep sound.

If anyone has any suggestions, it would be much appreciated!!

Thanks

Greg
