Hi folks,
I'm looking to put together a mobile radio package together. I need to have 3 different bands in this set-up. VHF Low (52-50), VHF High (136-174) , and UHF (450-470).
Any ideas out there. Looks like in fairly newer models, I'm looking at CDM1250 or CDM1550 if I wanted all 3 to look alike/be same radio model. I really prefer it to be /\/\ but I could look at options of other manufacturers. Would be great if there were a radio with all those bands in one or two radios. I think Kenwood makes one where you can have 2 different bands up to one remote head.
Thanks for the help!!

Re: * Looking for Radio Model help!*
kenwood *90 series can do 2 of the 3 in one head, but not all three...so you could very easily get 2 heads and have the 3 bands in it. I'd figure out which two you WONT be having to use @ the same time, and put them in the dual head, and run the simultanous bands in different heads.
I don't think the XTLs do lowband, and i don't think the PM1500 does it either, but i know the PM1200 (looks a LOT like something someone else made! hahah) will do the Lo band you want, just wont do the higher frequencies. It's kind of a messy situation there.
If the look is what you are really worried about, then the CDM as i see it is the front runner, but if you are at all concerned about performance and output, take the CDM off your list entirely. How much power are you looking at pushing out the end?
