CPS Questions.
I have CPS v. R05.07, i also have several PR400's. I recently had a EPROM error on one of the PR400's (not due to programming or anything, just came up). I took my radio to my local 2 way shop and they sent it out to Motorola to have it fixed, Several weeks later i get it back and now i can no longer program that one, but all my other ones are fine and easily programmable... The dealer says that I need R05.09, I'd really rather not buy it, is there any way i can bring the radio back down to the firmware version that all the other radios have so that I can program it? I would like to make it clear that i am NOT asking for software, i am simply wondering if there is any way that i can bring the radio back to an earlier firmware version.
Re: CPS Questions.
Since you already have the software I am going to go out on a limb and assume you purchased the software in the first place. If that is the case, you can reach out to Motorola at 1-800-422-4210, and they can set you up with the correct version.
In rare occurrences for large customers who have a strong relationship with Motorola, they have been known to bounce a radio on the terms that it does not match the same software/firmware version as the rest of their fleet. When it comes back from the depot a second time - it is back to the way it was when you sent it.
