There are lots of topics on here regarding programming Quantar SAM's.

I would be a bit more specific about what it is you wish to do and someone here will be able to help you understand the best way to do it.

Asking a very general question is probably not going to get you the help you need.

Good Luck... I have every manual made, hours with the computer and quantar in front of me and I can't get the SAM to do anything except the pre loaded MDC/TONE access (which does work well).

I guess that I am missing somehting severely! I just dont understand it! I dont understand the wildcard tables and the relation to the sam action tables. I have been desperately trying to get the a repeater to do set-up and knock down over the air via mdc with no luck at all.

I wish that I could just see how someone programmed this feature via a codeplug so I can kinda reverse engineer the programming. Any takers..

I'm not sure of the similarities or differences between the quantar and the msf but I've had some luck with them attached to the msf's. If that helps.

I'm working on one right now, You may have already found the answer, Located at the end of the SAM programming manual is info on the basic functions for setting the setup and knockdown repeater functions for a Quantar. I'm using the DTMF option and it works great. Now the next step is trying to configure it to change channels.. .
