GP Utility
Has anyone had any luck or experience using the GP300 Utility program? It was my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) that this could be used to upgrade 2 or 8 channel GP300s to 16 channels. I have a few GP300s that I've upgraded from 8 to 16 using hex editing and was hoping that I'd be able to use GP300 Utility to enable the rest of the signalling features ( QKII, MDC1200 Call Alert Decode, etc.). When I read the radio and go to the codeplug editor it appears very similar to what is seen using the hex editor. Any info would be appreciated, especially about adding full signalling options to conveted 16 ch units. Thanks.

Re: GP Utility
There is a lot of GP300 information on this Board and the information stretches back over several years, so a Board Search might be helpful to you.
As I recall, at some point Motorola gimmicked their two-channel radios so that it was no longer possible to increase the number of programmable channels. References to this event/feature are also to be found via a Board Search.
