Hello,
I am new to this, so please bear with me.
I have a Spectra ID: T83FWA7HA9AK
If I am reading the cross reference right, this radios lower limit is 146 Mhz.
I need to program it in the 144 Mhz range ( 144.570 )
In the Astro's, you can hex edit the CPS program file and replace the lower limit of 146000000 with 144000000
and it works.
Can this be done on the Spectra as well ? Or is there another way to program in an out of band freq ?
I have heard that if you hold down some key while entering the freq it will work.
I have DOS version R06.00.05 of the RSS
Thanks
Bill

I believe that RSS version should allow you to program down to 140MHz without any modifications. It'll pop up a warning about going out of it's rated band, which you just enter through. Otherwise, the information for going out of band for Spectras can be found on the main Batlabs site:
