GP 380 codeplug error

Post by Gap »

Hello, my GP 380 is displaying CODEPLUG ERR and softwares can't access it.
I want to know :

1 Must I flash it or is there another way to recover it without flashing ?

2 If I have to flash it how to know where is the flash software compatible for GP 380 and compatible for COM bus access (not LPT because my cable is direct from COM bus to 13 pin radio bus) ?

3 (secondary question) In this way it is possible to set in on GP 380 and how to do (because it is set on GP 360) ?

Thank you very much for your help.

You can fix it with the homemade lab flashtool.
Flash the latest firmware and program a new GP380 codeplug with it.
After this is done, you have to load the tuning data back or retune the radio.

You can also try to fix the checksum error by using the latest GM/GP3xx CPS.It let you fix checksum errors with a defalt codeplug from the list.

Hello,

1 how can I find the

? And if I have correctly understood it means I need only this software and nothing else ?

2 In your second idea do I only have to download this software (release is RXX.XX.XX X=?) and do this software can access to the radio (because R3.8.3 actually can't access) ?

Thank you very much for your reply.

Okay and thank you but this adapter is 25 pin LPT and my software can only open 9 pin (COM) and additionaly I have no cable for LPT, I only have 9 pin COM direct to 13 pin radio.

infos GP 380 for Andreas

Post by Gap »

Andreas, this is my GP 380 TANAPA PMUD1579A for the one and the other.

The firmware version isn't written on the box, the CPS said (on reading radio with correct codeplug)

for the one : codeplug version 6.0 ; for the other : codeplug version 4.10

but I think "codeplug version" isn't "firmware version" so where can I find that ?

thanks
