Looking for info on interfacing a m120 mobile into a zetron 4000 console system.
Have a local hospital medcom.. Have radio for security however another shop provides their repeater and will not allow direct connection(wireline control)
It a single UHF PL repeater channel.. I have some m120 sitting around and wondered if it could be interfaced into system and/or need special cards.

Re: m120 mobile into zetron 4000 system
Sure it could be done.
Best thing to do would be to get ahold of any old tone remote adapter, interface it to the M120 (could probably be done fairly easily via the mic jack, no COS required), and then plug that into the Zetron 4000 using tone keying.

You can do that, but it is just as easy (and possibly more reliable) to wire mobiles directly to a Zetron Universal DCC card. Program the card for E&M (local control) and use the PTT pin on the punchdown block to key the mobile. You can use VOX for receiver audio gating or wire a "channel active" pin on the mobile (if it has one); just be sure to program the DCC card appropriately.d119 wrote:Sure it could be done.
