MCS Firmware error

Post by alannerd614 »

So I began our rebanding process.

I am having some troubles with the MCS2000. On a few of them, I am getting "FLASH Authcode Verify Error - Upgrade aborted"

CPS 02.02.00

Current FW: 5.15

MCS2K T3

Using Motorola factory Smartrib and Cable.

Windows XP

Flash 000004-000000-6

It isnt happening on ALL radios, but it is happening on quite a few.

Nothing?

I have also tried different rib boxes, different computers, different ibutton holders (both USB and Parallel), completely different iButtons, different CD files.

Try reading and then rewriting the CPG back into the radio. After that, then try the firmware upgrade.

You are only doing a FW upgrade, correct? Not trying to add features or change the flashcode?

Correct, just FW to accept the new rebanding table.
