GP380 Programming Help

I just bought a Gp380 off of someone who had bought it off ebay. I am trying to remove some channels from it with CPS R03.08.03, however whenever I try to read the radio it says cannot open port, check RIB/Device Power etc...

I have a RIBless cable I am using and a Prolific Serial to USB adapter that I have used before programming Minitor Pagers. Here is some information on the Radio if it helps:

Motorola GP380
SW Version: R03.08.08
CP Part #: 5107421A01
CP Version: R6.00

The person who I bought it off of used the software to program it, so I know the CPS works.

The only COM Ports I get when it is plugged in are 3 & 4 and both give me the error above. Is there a key sequence needed to put the radio into programming mode?

Ok, I did get it working, it appears the RIBLESS cable connector is a little finicky.
