hi all,
I just bought an xts2500 and found out i can't use my jedi rib-less programming with it.
Could i just re-solder the wires or am i better off just buying the right cable?
thanks,
Alex

XTS2500 rib-less cable help
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

Buy the correct Astro25 cable.

Stupidity creates job security!
If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

I have a spare OEM RS232 cable NIB. PM me if interested.
Even if you don't get one from me I still recommend an OEM cable.

It wouldn't work anyway...the serial ribless works in a different way than the standard 'RIB/Jedi cable' combo...so it's not just a matter of switching some pins around in the cable.alex4659 wrote:hi all,
