xts3000 scan list problems

Post by fallspolice »

Hello everyone! I have an xts3000 model 2, and I am having problems with the scan feature. What I am trying to do is scan both trunking and conventional channels at the same time. I made all of my scan lists user programmable, and under scan list, scan type is set to "Talkgroup". I am able to transmit from my xts3000 while in scan mode and the other radios can hear me. But, my radio will only pick up traffic from other radios on that conventional frequency if its within 2 seconds of the end of my transmission. The other radios (all mtx8250's) cannot contact my radio unless I transmit first. There is no problem receiving or transmitting on any of the trunking channels. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Is the conventional channel you are sitting on programmed into the scan list?

Sorry, I have been away from my computer for a few days. The conventional channel is programmed into the scan list.

Reason I asked is the XTS has the unique ability to not include the selected conventional channel in its current scanning operation. I am still looking for the document that describes this. Very disappointing.
