CDM remote control operation programing

Post by rangrdoug »

Anyone had any sucess programing a CDM mobile for DC/Tone remote operation through the rear accessory connector? Trying to get a vhf unit operational as a console back up through a Zetron dispatch console. would appreciate any suggestions or even looking at a codeplug that works.
Thanks

I've used CDM's as base stations many times. They do not have inherent tone or DC control. You need an adapter box that converts to local (hardware) control ala mic, grd, ptt, mon, and rx. But, you probably knew that already. Those functions are all available in the default accy plug config. What kind of problems are you running into?

Look at this application note pdf from Telex about how to hook up their equipment to a CDM. The Telex info won't be useful to you, but the CDM info might be.
