APX7000 Scan function

Post by lemish »

Is there a global setting in the APX CPS somewhere to turn on scan ability for conventional channels.

I have built a scan list I think is correct, added the SCAN button to the menu, but when I load the codeplug to the radio the SCAN button doesnt appear on the menu.

What gives?

Anyone???

Click on these tabs...

Conventional Configuration====Conventional Personality====Your personality name====Features====Scan List Selection. Pick a list if you have built it or bulid one if you haven't. You have to select a list from each personality before it will work. If you allow operator select, you can put the list in on the radio or from CPS. If it's a fixed list, you have to add what you want and it's locked to the user.

You can do multi system talkgroup or conventional or priority monitor. I set mine up to do TG scan on 800 and added conventional channels on UHF on multi-system scan and conventional scan on conventional channels only. Works great. Also, conventional scan works great too. I would not try to do multi-system (trunking) as it will slow scan WAAAAAY down. I'm scanning a mix of analog and Astro channels on conventional BTW...... I have my scan select on the orange button as I don't do emergency on my radio.
