CDM1250 / SVR200u Issue

Post by Search »

Recently put a pyramid SVR200U repeater on a CDM1250 lowband. The repeater will work fine with the radio if the CDM1250 mic is disconnected. As soon as the mic is plugged back in, the SVR200 will not key the radio up properly. The TX light will rapidly flash. Anyone have any ideas?? I swapped it out with another SVR200 and it does the same thing.

Did you follow the application note from Pyramid?

Do you have another SVR and/or CDM to substitute for troubleshooting?

Let me try this again. My first post looks like it wasn't taken.

Bill has some good information on following the instructions on connecting the Pyramid unit to the CDM radio. There are some software changes
that you will have to make to the CDM radio. The accessory connector pins can be used for a number of applications and as such you need
to match the pin function with the software.

Another area that I will point out is that the CDM has the ability to change the external accessory audio input gain to match what your trying
to connect up to the radio. If the TX deviation is low, you can go into the software and change the TX gain settings to resolve the issue.

What radios do you own?: Over 50 - All Motorola

Since it is lowband, you could also be having an issue with RF in the cabling causing strange things to happen.

What hook switch options are programmed into the CDM, just for grins?
