I have two MTX9000 B5 HTs. They have different firmware/software versions. by looking at the RSS, one is 1.31 and the other is 1.51. Is there documentation on the differances? I do not see any differances in the option settings.
These are nice radios and work very well on 902.

Re: MTX9000 firmware versions
I too, have firmware ver. R01.51, and have never had any trouble with using the radio on any T/A channel the radio is programmed for.
No MDC, No ID/Alias display, No MPL selections, and of course, no live dialing as the limited can only respond to a PC(trunked).
I can do everything I need with it, and I enjoy having selectable power on the menu, as well as keypad muting, scan list viewing and channel changes from the keypad/menu structure.
I like having the ability to change channels from the keypad, incase the rotary goes out when I am away from the shop, so I will always have the ability
to use the radio.
Mine was a surplus box baby and shows signs of light abuse, but the lens is clean and the case is in good enough condition so I don't have to cover it up when I am using it.
