VRS-750 to Astro Spectra

I would like to use a VRS-750 with an Astro Spectra. Both the VRS and the Astro will be UHF. I know that Motorola does not recommend this arrangement, but I have a need to do so, and will have the proper separation and filtering. My question: Are there any "software" stops that would prevent the UHF VRS-750 from being used with the UHF Astro? Second Question: Does the VRS-750 program via the Astro Spectra mobile, or does it require other software and cable. The Astro Spectra that I wish to use is currently set-up with an VRS-EP series VRS, an the I am not sure if the Astro, asy currently flashed, will support the VRS-750. I would think that it should be "Plug N' Play, but wanted to ask before purchasing a VRS-750. Thanks in advance.
