Syntor X-9000 Low Band > Ham 6 meters

Post by W2MB »

Does RSS R07.11/R08.01 allow a low band Syntor X-9000 to be programmed to 52/53 MHz? A search here shows discussion of a HAM RSS but it is not clear whether that version is necessary to set these transceivers up on 6 meters. Is there anyone in the NNJ area that would be willing/able to set a couple of these up on 6 meters?

Can't remember if the version you reference can do the ham frequencies or not. I do know that version R05.02.00
will do the ham frequencies as it is listed as the "ham" version right on the start up page.

If you do a search on the internet, you will find it. There is a version to open up the radio channels to more than
the normal 32 channels. It does require that the EEPROM in the radio be changed. Also depending on which
control head you have, the same issue is there. The 1032 head will require a prom change.
