To enable QC-II tone transmit, all you have to do, is enable that feature, set up your tone plan, and in the personalities menu, under transmit, scroll down to see the signalling tab.

Scroll down in that tab, and select QC-II.

You can access this feature once programmed, in your display using the right button, then selecting the proper function....MDC-1, QC-II or even DTMF.

If QC-II is on your display, once you've selected call alert from the main display window, just press the PTT and the tones will automatically be sent.

A/B, A/B long B..Etc.....However you have yor tone plan set up, you can tranmsit this on the PR400.

Main display screen:

Second screen; press P2 and use the down arrow key to see this:

Continue pressing P2 to finally see this:

Now all you need to do is: Press the PTT button once, and the radio does the job for you.

one more question if I may, at our main station we have a tone encoder board to set tones off there, on it we push a 3 digit code, then hit the "p" button for page, we do this once then the first set of tones go off we hit the "p" once more then we talk, I would do it the same way on the PR400?

go to quickcallII like u said, hit the PTT button, after first tones are sent hit it again for the second set, then exit out of that area and hit PTT to say what needs to be said?

Once you transmit the tone sequence in the PR400, and while still holding the PTT button, you can talk over the radio channel, just don't release and rekey as
you will send those tones again.

Of course, all you would have to do once the tones are sent, is to press the P1 button to return you to the main screen.

Normal radio operation takes priority.
