Correct programming cable for XTL5000 with 03 Odyssey head

Post by adlertom »

What is the correct cable for programming the XTL5000 with the O3 "Odyssey" head?

Can I use the HKN6184A, the one with the round blue CAN connector (the same one used on the XTL2500)?

Or do I need the HKN6163B that connects to the 26 pin rear connector (the same one that is used for the XTL5000 consolette)?

If the radio is a high power unit then yes the USB cable will work into the CGAI, if it's a mid power unit then you will need the HKN6183A (RS-232), or HKN6163B.
