I have a M 1225 Uhf mobile that I have been trying to move down into the 430MHz range (recently moved to EU) for Ham use.
Am running Rss Ver 3.1 and using the shift plus top number keys to enter data. Problem is that I can only go as low as 440Mhz. Any Idea as how to get software to accept lower frequency input? Does or Can the software be modified via hexeditor to do what I need?
Thank you.

This site should have information to help you out:
http://batlabs.com/m1225.html
Also, it takes time but you can also do a search of this Board to see what history exists on the subject.

Re: M1225 out of band Programming
If memory serves correct, the M1225 UHF has a band split of 450-474MHz.. While the "Shift" key trick does work for OOB, I highly doubt you'll get the radio to stay locked 20MHz OOB. Even with editing the CPS, I think that may be pushing it a bit.Subgunman wrote:I have a M 1225 Uhf mobile that I have been trying to move down into the 430MHz range

Stupidity creates job security!
If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Get out your conductive pen and go to town on the VCO
Re: M1225 out of band Programming
Additional FYI.
I have checked the Batlabs site on the M1225...
I have tried the Shift+number entry...
I am aware the radio is "Designed" for 450-470 MHz ops...
I can modify the VCO to operate lower but the issue is with software now.
Can Ver 3.1( even though it is a winows 98 program) be modified with hex editor to do what I need?
Thanks for All the info so far!
We'll be waiting in the wings!
