CPS - question about Motorola Proprietary Features

Post by lemish »

Am programming an APX7000 radio and under the Trunk System "ASTRO 25" tab there is a checkbox that says Motorola Proprietary Features. This option appears in the old CPS for XTS5000 as well.

What happens if I uncheck that box?

I would tread very cautiously in making changes your not sure of. Maybe a little restraint is in order.

According to the help screen, it applies to the "Inbound Signalling Packet". If you are operating on an Astro25 system actively, I would suggest NOT unchecking it as it is a default. I have no idea what it changes as I've not looked in the service manual for any info on signalling there.
