CPS froze while programming
I just about finished reprogramming my XTS2500 went to write to the radio. When I did, it started off like normal, but never progressed past the "verifying if device can accept codeplug" part. The radio says program mode on it, and the CPS is not responding and it's been about 40 minutes. An y ideas or did I just wreck my radio?
Re: CPS froze while programming
Turn the radio off, and start over..

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Re: CPS froze while programming
Well, over an hour later, it finally decided to cooperate with me and the radio programmed perfectly fine. If this were to happen again, is it safe to turn it off and back on while in program mode or will that brick the radio?
Re: CPS froze while programming
Yeah, if it gets frozen for an hour like that, just reboot everything and start again.. I think after about the first 3 minutes of nothing, I would have just done a reboot of everything.
