MCS2000 & Spectra high power cable

Post by Max »

Can someone tell me if the power cable for a Spectra 110 watt is the same that is used for a MCS2000 110 watt radio ?

I have both radios, and no, they're not the same. The high power Spectra has the thumb screw down the middle and a uniquely-shaped connector. The high power MCS2000 uses the same type of connector as on the majority of Motorola dash-mount mobiles (Maxtrac, CDM, XTL, etc.). Of course, on the high power MCS, the cable is a much larger gauge than on mid and low powered mobiles. Hope that helps.

Might I suggest that you go back and look again at the "SPECTRA" radio for the type of
connector it uses. All the ones I have ever seen use a standard DB25. Even the Astro
Spectra units use the DB25 type connector.

The Syntor radios use the funny shaped and lock down screw in the middle of the control
cable connector.

Might I suggest you read the subject line again. 8) Power cable, not control cable. I answered his question correctly the first time. Doh!
