MT1000 UHF whip part number

Post by W4KRR »

I'm looking for the Motorola part number for the UHF whip antenna that is normally used on the MT1000 (MX connector). I have Googled the hell out of this, and can only find the loaded helical stubby types. (For some reason, Google thinks MT1000 and HT1000 are the same thing!)

Thanks in advance!

NAE6483AR - UHF Flexible Whip Antenna, 403-512 MHz

It's a Waris part but they work fine on Sabers. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work on a Genesis radio too.

Thanks for the reply, otaku.

Update:

I think I may have found the original part number: 8505247K06. I think. In my searches the part number sometimes gets changed. Can anyone verify?

Thanks again.

That's it, the one with the ball on the tip, MOL shows it as available, about $15. Or the 6483# otaku mentions fits/works fine also.

NAE6483AR works very well and has the 'square' top. This is what we use.

NAE6350A is the correct antenna listed in the service manuals.
