Impres charger question

Post by mikey107sec »

I have a six unit Impres charger. The cooling fan is on all the time. Even if no batteries are in it. I guess this is a good thing but is this normal? The old Jedi gang charger I had didn't do this only when you put in a bunch of radios at the same time and it would turn off at some point. Also can anyone confirm this...I was told you can charge non impres batteries in a impres charger but impres batteries must be charged in a impres charger. What would happen if you charged a impres battery in a non impres charger? Just trying to figure out what kind of headaches I am in for with the guys confusing the different batteries with the chargers. Seems to be a great battery system so far at least for the XTS units.

If you charge a Impres battery in a non Impres charger, the battery will still work fine except that you may "zap" or do reversible damage to the chip in the battery that gives your Astro 25 portables the battery cap, percentage etc..
In Memory of those that serve.

Seal Team Six

Radios I currently own:

2-qty APX7000 UHF R2/700-800MHz M3
