Post by pilsator »

Does anyone have further information to the "Aux Audio" jack pinout? i already contacted Zetron without response, the manual only describes the phone jack.

AUXILIARY INPUT
An auxiliary audio input, such as radio audio, can be connected to the unit at the 4-pin
modular connector labeled “Aux Audio” located at the rear of the unit (see diagram below).
This input is a balanced, DC-blocked 10 kΩ input. The AGC level of this audio input is
adjustable through the Aux Audio Adjust potentiometer.

1 - Aux Audio Input (+)
2 - Record Control Input (+)
3 - Record Control Input (-) [ground]
4 - Aux Audio Input (-)

Figure 3. Model 3022 Auxiliary Input Jack

[note: this is looking at the jack, with the modular tab to the right, and the pins to the left, counting top to bottom]

Note: Both telephone and auxiliary audio can be connected at the same time. However,
during recording, should both inputs be active, the unit records the summation of
these two signals. During playback, it is usually very difficult to distinguish either
of the audio sources when this occurs.

ADJUSTMENTS
Auxiliary Audio Level
The Auxiliary Audio Input level is adjustable using the Auxiliary Audio Level potentiometer
located on the rear of the unit. Turning the adjustment clockwise increases the sensitivity of
the input to -25 dBm for the knee of AGC compression.

Specs:
Aux Input Impedance: 10 kΩ ±10%
Aux Input Resistance: Greater than 5 MΩ; DC blocked
Aux Input Level: -27 dBm min for knee of AGC, adjustable

Wow, thanks a lot.

Do you know if record control is simply done by closing 2 -3 ?

Quoth:

Record Control Input
Model 3022 recording can be controlled by an external dry-contact closure. This signal,
located on the auxiliary audio connector, is found on pins 6 and 5 (ground) of the accessory
connector. With the record control signal enabled in set-up, shorting these two signals
together causes the unit to record.

With the Breakout board installed, the record control input signals are found on the 3-
terminal screw block, TB1 (ground “-“ on pins 1 and 3, signal “+” on pin 2).

Disquoth.

PM me & I'll get you a copy of the manual.
