EPROM CS ERROR on CDM1250

I have a CDM1250 that was programmed and "EPROM CS ERROR" is on screen now. The radio won't do anything now and I tried forcing the saved old codeplug back into it several times but it didn't take it. Is there anything I can do other than a expensive trip back to the Big M?
