moto AAHLN9742D flashing adaptor.. 3 POS SWITCH?

Hey all,
I just received my Flashing adaptor and plan on flashing my HT 1550'S/CDM'S... I plan on using my moto Ribless RKN4075 for the Portables and the AARKN4081 for the Mobiles. The adaptor has a 3 pos switch on it A OFF B.. I am unclear on which pos the switch is supposed to be in. The instructions are a bit confusing. MOL is closed today.
