4 wire E&M configuration on RAD IPMUX-1E

Post by aking »

I need to extend a 4 wire E&M circuit over ethernet. I've ordered up the IPMUX-1E to do this install. I see a few of you out there have used this as well. Does anyone have specific instructions on the IPMUX on how to configure the 4 wire E&M? Time is of the essence and as soon as I get the devices, I'll need to deploy them. Thanks.

I just read the manual on CD that came with the device. You can download the manual and be prepared before it arrives.

Yeah. Log into them, point them at each other on the Ethernet, and set them to 4-wire.

Make sure one unit's clocking is set to INTERNAL, and the other to ADAPTIVE. Enable OAM signaling on both ends.

Thats it :)
