Requesting help from the XTS5000 masters

Post by Vivmeister911 »

Is there a way to disable the PTT side tone that is emitted every time you key up on an XTS5000
No MDC enabled.
Just plain key up and talk.
I attempted to deselect alert tones in the general alert tones window however in that case it disables all alert tones.
We are just trying to figure out how to get rid of the single short beep tone every time we key up.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Is secure alert tone check boxed by any chance? If it is, try un-checking it..

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
