MTS2000 Programming issue

Post by foothillradio »

Hi All,

I recently purchased a few MTS2000 VHF mod 1 and Mod 3 and tried to program them using CPS2.0. The radios all read fine with no issue, but after writing to the radio is complete none of the changes i make show up? The radio will display all of the previous info. When I read it again it's as if I never made any changes. I also tried the programming is the RSS with the same results. Please help!!! Any ideas would be great.

Possibly the pop up screen telling you the "codeplug is too new for the program"is not coming up?

That is my first guess the reason you are not seeing the changes.

Read the radio and see what version of CPS was last used to program the radio before. If its CPS R02.02.00 or R02.03.00,then that would be the case since you only have CPS R02.00.00.

what are the firmware versions of the MTS2000's you are attempting to program? IIRC,DOS RSS is recommended for any radio with a firmware version lower than 5.65, and attempting to use CPS to write to older MTS2000's results in this (and other) quirks.

Hi,

Thank you for the quick replies. I was able to clone 2 out of the three with a code plug I had on file. The other 2 failed. A error message popped up stating that the code plug and radio features are set differently? Is there a way around this?

Thanks again for yout time.

drag and drop is the only way when feature sets/flash codes don't match.
