HI All,
I have a few CDM1550 radios laying around that have low TX output. It's a 40 watt radio, but is only transmiting 3 watts. What causes this? Can it be fixed? How much will it cost on average? I also have a few M1225 with the same issue. Thanks

Could be a bad PA, sometimes caused by an antenna mismatch.
"Archers."
"I beg pardon, sire. Won't we hit our own troops?"
"Yes....but we'll hit theirs as well. We have reserves....attack"

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. What is a PA? Could I switch it from another part mobile that I have? Is it expensive to order?
Thanks

Power amplifier... will require a full retuning of the radio after replacement... definitely NOT for the faint of heart
