MT1000 mode switch

Is there an option in MT1000 RSS, for the mode switch? Does anyone remember, I can't find it.

I recently programed my uhf MT1000 (with MDC f cover). I now can't get the the squelch to PL . The receive PL is on, but no matter what, the receive PL is always stripped. ( transmit pl works)

The mode switch on top, doesn't work in any position. I have 2 of these with the same problem, so it's not a unit problem.

There is no specific option for the mode switch.
If you have scan disabled in RSS, the scan position will do nothing.
If you do not have RX PL programmed on a channel the PL & CSQ positions will have no effect
since the radio is always in CSQ mode.

I don't understand what you mean "receive PL is always stripped".

If you have programmed priority scan, the receiver is always in CSQ mode on the priority channel while in scan mode.
If "TX inhibit on busy channel" is set on ANY channel, the Scan mode is not allowed.
These are the most common causes of RX and PL scan issues with the MT1000.

If you are not sure of any programming option, the RSS "F1" help command is your friend. It will bring up all the info from that part of the RSS manual for that option.

I dont have anything programed for scan right now. So I know thats not it.

The radio is programmed with a receive PL tone . Regardless, the radio recieves as though I have programed the "CS" feature. The radio does not receive in full coded squelch with pl.

Thats what I mean by stripping the recieve PL.Hopefully, that explains it a little better. Any ideas?

you have the switch in the "coded" left most position correct? is the LED enabled and flashing green upon RX? if the PL has been disabled and the LED is enabled in the radio/wide screen, than maybe a controller problem, bad codeplug data or defective swtich/flex?
