cdm1550 ls uhf tiny tx audio

Post by RidgeRunner »

I have had some complaints on the 1550 tx audio being tiny. I looked thru the menus and then only thing that is turned on is the emphasis/de-emphasis tab. Is this what is causing my audio to sound so tiny? I am running the stock hand mic.

Thanks

Have you tried another mike? There are plenty of other M radios that use mikes that while they might look different, are electronically compatible. Easy test. GARY N4KVE

Well I figured it out, it was the emphasis/pre-emphasis. I guess the way I read the help file that option is only helpful if you have another M radio setup the same way. Also helped RX audio too!
