MSF10000 resets on TX

Post by Paul »

My newly acquired CXB MSF10000 when triggered, performs a system reset.
I have a very basic knowledge of it; am I missing something?

This will happen if the station is equipped with a battery revert power supply and was configured to use a battery but now you don't have a battery connected.

The power supply was originally adjusted to provide the right float voltage for a particular battery type. Without a battery connected the supply voltage will drop too low on keyup and the station will reset.

You can fix this by a) re-adjust the power supply per the manual for the correct voltage with no battery, b) turn down the transmit power so it draws less current or c) connect a battery to the station.
