Unication Gold Programming Error

I am trying to program a unication gold pager. I am using the cradle and ribless cable that I use for minitor pagers. I can access everything find through the same com port in the minitor pps, but when I hook up the gold and try to read I get:

"Pager not responding press F2 to retry or any other key to abort", then the pager starts beeping like it just turned on.


Any ideas?
