Motorola XTL 5000 MDC Decode

What are the setting for the XTL 5000 VHF conventional radio which will allow it to display the MDC code being transmitted by other radios ?
Called Motorola and the procedure does not work.

Does your flashcode contain flash option H14?

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

No it does not, I was thinking that this radio might not be capable of this feature.

Yup, that's your problem.. You need H14 ID Display in your flashcode for it to decode MDC ID's..
