Tuf Duck antennas.... any good?

Post by Splat »

Local store has Tuf Duck antennas. I need a vhf antenna, preferably not a stubby, for my A/S. Any opinions, recommendations, etc. appreciated.

I believe that Tuf Duck was once known as Centurion, and under that name they were thought to be
good stuff. They were also available in a number of ranges which were always clearly shown on the
package labels. Assuming they haven't changed over to low quality imported junk they should still be
okay.

They work just fine, just be sure you get the correct connector for the A/S, it is not a standard SMA so you want the "SF" connector not the "SFU"

I have one of the UHF ones - Tessco PN: 66942. One of the guys from LA was kind enough to give me one while I was out there at TRW.

I have no complaints with it - but I don't know what is / is not better about it.
