HT1000 MDC1200 decode

Post by tskilbride »

I'm trying to setup two HT1000 to open the squelch using MDC1200. I have the radio primary ID's of "1" and "2". The Variable ID is "3" on both radios. Both radios have the following settings:

Stat-Alert/ATIS Sel-Call-Enabled
PTT ID(Pre)-Enabled
MDC/STAR/ATIS Decode-Enabled

Signalling Muting Condition: AND
Radio Sq. Unmute/Mute: STD/STD

I'm not new to Motorola, but I'm new to this MDC1200 stuff. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Do you do any stat alert with your system? or do you just want the radios to transmit the MDC 1200 signal?

No. I'm just wanting to open the squelch of the radio using MDC1200. ie. monitor 146.520, but I will only hear someone calling if they have the right MDC1200 identifier.

That is not possible with PTT ID. They could page or call alert you if the radio supports that.
