Retuning MSR Channel Elements

Post by kb1sph »

Can anyone tell me the procedure and what the minimum equipment required is for retuning a MSR 2000 channel element? Besides needing a new crystal, that part I know.

Thanks,
Jeff

The Channel Element contains temperature compensation components to keep it on frequency over a wide temperature range.

These components are different in each element and are selected to match the crystal's temperature characteristics.

Most crystal houses will also do the 'compensation' for you as part of the recrystallizing, "retuning a MSR 2000 channel element".
