Hello Everyone,
I am in the middle of cabling up a M120 for APRS operation. I noticed a lot of people cable to pin 13, SW A+ Sense (http://www.batlabs.com/images/gmacc8.gif). What exactly is that? The Tinytrak documentation indicates it is V+ (assuming to power the tracker off of the radio power), but I am just wanting to confirm so I don't have to play with any magic smoke tonight.
Thanks for any help!

Pin 13 is a gozoutta. It's a power source for accessories connected to the radio. Rated for .5A and tied to the main power line. Pin 10 is a gozinta to turn the radio on/off with the ignition key.

Makes perfect sense. Thanks! When I got my hands on the radio, I read here about pin 10, but I didn't want to have to bother with having to supply 12 volts on that pin, so I just opened the radio up and replaced the fuse to negate that problem. I'm thinking that the 12 volts out @ .5 amp won't be enough for that tracker. It's got a beefier regulator on it and powers a GPS unit and active antenna as well from the unit, so just to be safe, I think I will just give it it's own supply.
Thanks again for the help!

gozoutta?! Is that like a hybrid I/O pin? Pin 13 is *actually* a comezoutta, and yes, 10 is a gozinta!Bill_G wrote:Pin 13 is a gozoutta. It's a power source for accessories connected to the radio. Absolutely. All pins are a gozinta or gozoutta of some kind (arguments about conventional current vs electron flow, and AC theory aside).maxkelley_kc2spy wrote:gozoutta?! Is that like a hybrid I/O pin? Pin 13 is *actually* a comezoutta, and yes, 10 is a gozinta!
