[Flashcode Question]

Post by kc2mdn »

Hello all. Quick question maybe someone can anser for me. I have an XTS2500 that does not have this feature set installed and I am planning on sending my radio into the depot and while it was there was gonna have Big M install the feature for me. What exactly does this feature do as far as Enganced Digital ID. I really only have Conventional analog channels programmed with MDC codes and the radio seems to decoe the MDC just fine. Any info would be great before I send it in. Thanks KC2MDN "73"

Hello again. One strange thing I noticed when programming up my radio. I have an XTS2550 MIII with the flascode of 5A9081-401307-1. Now the strange thing is when I view the radio info in the RSS the feature Set list that is displayed is different from the feature set displayed if I decode the flashcode in one of the decoder programs.

RSS Displays
Q811, Q498, Q52, H46, H43, G996, H04, Q947, Q387, Q53, Q667, Q446, Q445

The decoder programs show
Q806, H14, Q52, Q498, H43, H46, G996, H35, H04, Q947, Q53, Q387, Q445, Q446, Q667

AM wondering if there is a reason for there to be a difference in the two. Any info would be great thanks. KC2MDN "73"
