signal taps

Post by johnny1225 »

does anyone know where i can buy some signal taps to go on some transmission lines. I have tried andrews but they don't sell them anymore. Is there any other companies that sell these signals taps, any feedback would be appreciated.

regards,

Are you talking about vampire taps on hardline for BDA's? We quit using them because of signal loss problems and use power dividers.

yep, I had the same issues with goofy coupling with some of the older stuff. You can buy equal and unequal power splitters for decent prices that are pretty wide banded. Just cut the cable and put "N" connectors on with your prep tool, no screwing around with the tap tool. Less chance for mistakes.
